MANILLA FIRE & RESCUE

Volunteer services

Manilla's fire and ambulance teams are staffed entirely by dedicated round-the-clock volunteers. Our volunteers are trained and equipped to handle emergency situations with extreme professionalism and care, ensuring our residents' safety and well-being as much as possible when disaster strikes.

The Manilla Fire Department was founded in 1893—the fire department currently has 15 volunteers that are Fire Fighter I certified.

The Manilla Ambulance Service was founded 1992—the ambulance service currently has 10 volunteers who are Basic Life Support certified.

Becoming a volunteer

We highly encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering to do so! If you'd like to become a volunteer, or if you'd like to make a donation to our emergency response programs, contact City Hall at (712)-654-2632.

Donations

The City of Manilla would like to give special thanks to all of our volunteers, as well as everyone who has donated or otherwise supported our emergency volunteer programs. Received donations directly contribute to servicing equipment, training volunteers, and ensuring overall swift, effective responses during our residents' times of need. Thanks to our donors and supporters, our emergency response teams are able to remain well-equipped and prepared for emergencies, strengthening the safety of the entire community as a result.
